First look at the new, bright lights of Manuka

THE new lights at Manuka Oval shone brightly tonight for the debut of day-night cricket at the annual PM’s XI match, this year against the West Indies.

Surrounding streets around Kingston and Manuka were also brightly lit by the large and imposing light towers. Some diners, sitting outside on parts of the Manuka restaurant strip, were also eating under floodlight.

Hideous!! It’s an oval not a stadium!!! They impose on the whole area. Manuka looks worse now, waste of money that could’ve gone to a much better cause. From a very disappointed long term resident of the area.
