Gas line cut in Kambah

A 100-metre exclusion zone was set up around the site of a natural gas leak in Kambah this afternoon.

fire-rescue-homeThe leak was caused by workers who accidentally ruptured a 32 millimetre gas line, at the intersection of Boddington Cresent and Bacchus Circuit.

The Emergency Services Agency issued an announcement at midday saying there was no immediate threat to the area and crews from ACT Fire & Rescue were at the site attempting to isolate the leak.

The leak was capped by 12:45pm.
