FORTY of the 100 jobs at celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s new Canberra restaurant Jamie’s Italian have been filled and a second round of interviews for the remaining 60 will be held next week. The restaurant is expected to open at the Canberra Centre before Christmas.

“We have a very strong culture of ‘family’ here at Jamie’s Italian and we are looking for people with real enthusiasm and an honest passion for what they do.” says general manager, Karen Westfield.

“We’re after career-minded hospitality professionals who are looking for a stable and long-term position with loads of opportunity to progress. There are both full-time and part-time roles available, operating on a flexible Monday-to-Sunday, shift-based roster. Jamie’s Italian offers an awesome team environment and great conditions, including ongoing training and development.”
