Letters: There’s always Zed

Liberal Senate hopeful, Zed Seselja

DO the people of Australia realise that they will be worse off under a Liberal Government, especially Canberra?

My how we change our choice of who we want as a Leader. One minute we want Kevin Rudd, then we want Tony Abbott.

Let’s protect our wonderful country and keep it Australian and prosperous.

The only good thing about the Liberals is Zed Seselja, candidate for an ACT Senate seat.

 Thanks, Michael!

THANKS for Michael Moore’s sage advice (“Power to the pesky, vote big parties last”, CN, August 22). I’ve [absentee] voted More Sex Party then Die Happy Party. All done!

Sorry to quibble

SORRY to quibble, Patricia Saunders (Letters, CN, August 21) but whatever the sins of the Liberals in 2012, infringing the public places no-signs rules has been superseded by the Public Unleased Land (Movable Signs) Code of Practice 2013, which was sufficient to remove the Greens’ efforts from Adelaide Avenue. Still largely unintelligible though – the code, I mean.

Greg Cornwell, Yarralumla

 Storm in teacup

PATRICIA Saunders seems fixated on this election-sign placement issue (Letters, CN, August 21) having raised it numbers of times in the past.

Really, the whole thing is a storm in a teacup and just shows how far the ACT Nanny State has proceeded down the regulatory path.
