A 24-year-old Griffith man will face court this morning after he was arrested for a violent home robbery on Wednesday morning.
About 1.30am a man was assaulted at Stuart Flats, Griffith. Police say a number of the victim’s items were stolen, including the keys to the his car. The man suffered head injuries, and was taken to Calvary Hospital for treatment.
The following night, the victim’s car was stolen from his home.
About 5pm yesterday afternoon, police found the stolen vehicle at Stuart Flats. Police conducted a search of a nearby residence, after which the man was arrested and transported to the ACT Watch House.
Police will oppose bail.
