A SERVICE station in Melba was last night robbed at knifepoint for the second time this year.
Police say a man entered the 7-Eleven on Chinner Street in Melba at about 10pm last night, armed with a large kitchen knife, and demanded cash and cigarettes.
The attendant complied with his demands and the man fled with the stolen items.
The robber is described as 180cm (5’11”) tall with a slim build. He was last seen running towards Kingsford Smith Drive, wearing a black top with the hood pulled over his head, a purple t-shirt, black shorts and black shoes.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated robbery in August after the same service station was robbed by three offenders, one of which carried a knife.
