“RU4ME?” Yes, you’ve guessed it, it’s one of those infuriating short expressions people use in text messages.Actress Annie Byron has written a play based on the bestseller “Kissing Frogs” by Andee Jones that deals with the “on-line dating jungle” and although the play is billed as a “gentle, funny old-life-affirming comedy,” it becomes pretty clear that Mr Wright is not easy to discover.
Byron plays Connie, a woman of a certain age who wants to believe that finding a romantic love is not an impossible dream.
It’s a comedy, but it’s full of questions, like is romantic love a hopeless belief? And how do you know Mr Right even when you think you’ve found him?
“I’m really looking forward to taking the show to a variety of places…finding a partner is such a basic human preoccupation, it’s a story that can be ‘at home’ anywhere,” Byron says.
Directed by Wayne Harrison who directed the shows “Codgers” and “Biddies” “RU4ME?” is billed heart-warming and funny performance.
