Police search for missing boy

POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a 12-year-old autistic boy who went missing from Deakin today.

Kasun Napagoda is described as Indian in appearance, with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue fleecy school uniform top with the school emblem located on left hand side (pictured). He was also wearing dark blue track suit pants and runners.

Police say Kasun has autism and does not speak, has no awareness of road safety and has a fascination for water. He also has a tendency to “wander into people’s backyards.”

UPDATE 5.30pm: Kasun has been found safe and well. Police thank the public, Fire and Rescue and the SES for their help.
