“JOHNNY Cash the Concert” is back in town with a new show to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of one of Cash’s biggest hits and best loved songs, “Ring of Fire.”
The two-hour show will feature the tracks that made Cash’s own live shows special. Hits by June Carter and The Carter Family, The Statler Brothers, Carl Perkins and Cash’s gospel greats. The seodn half of the show eautres Cash’s biggest hits including, of course, “Ring Of Fire”.
Recorded in Nashville with mariachi-style trumpets and Carter Family on backing vocals, “Ring Of Fire” (written by June Carter and Merle Kilgore) was Cash’s biggest hit, earning him the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles Chart for seven weeks.
Joining the tour is singer/songwriter Tamara Stewart, whose self-penned hit, “Women in Song”, celebrates the long heritage of women in Australian Country Music.
