Two indecent assaults in Latham

TWO women were indecently assaulted in separate incidents in Latham yesterday, according to police.

One woman was indecently assaulted by a man riding past her on a skateboard, as she walked along Stretton Crescent past Latham Primary School at about 4.30pm.

Police say the woman yelled out and the man headed off in the direction of Rudall Street and Joske Place. She described him as being of Indian or Aboriginal appearance, 16-18 years of age, tall and slim. He was wearing bright green shorts and had a skateboard.

A second woman was indecently assaulted by a man at about 8.20pm while walking her two dogs along a bike path next to Denny Street and Solomon Crescent, also in Latham.

According to police, she screamed during the incident and the man ran away down a footpath on Dalley Crescent.

The offender is described as being in his mid-40s, 175-180cm (5’9”-5’11”) tall, thin and with a “quite fit” build. He had short, dark hair with grey speckles in it and was wearing fluoro green shorts and a grey t-shirt.

Anyone who may have witnessed either incident, or can assist police in identifying either of the men described above can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
