What a cast, what a car!

IT was back to the 50s and 60s in Crawford Street Queanbeyan this morning when Roger Phillips drove the cast of “Oh What A Night!” to the Royal Hotel in his 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe, as a kind of appetiser to their Jersey Boys tribute opening tonight at The Q.

Phillips and his pet car, named Dolores, were playing along in the spirit of a musical show that promises to conjure up the great successes of Franki Valli and The Four Seasons.

Valli, born Francesco Stephen Castelluccio and the son of a barber, was inspired to take up singing after seeing Frank Sinatra. He went on to invent the Jersey Beat and to dominate the pop scene, beginning with the number one hit “Sherry” in 1962 and continuing  until today.

The show at The Q includes many of the famous Jersey Boys hits, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “My Eyes Adored You,”  and “Working My Way Back To You.”

“Oh What A Night!” at The Q, Queanbeyan, 8pm Jan 16-19 and Jan 23-26, 2pm Jan 17 and 24 and 5pm Jan 20 and 27. Bookings to  6285 6290.
