Pregnant woman critically injured in crash

A 27-year-old Charnwood man has been charged with negligent driving after his car collided in an intersection, leaving his pregnant passenger in a critical condition. Police-car-0574-175x175

Around 10.05pm, the man’s silver Ford Fairlane collided with a silver Ford Falcon at the intersection of Southern Cross Drive and Kingsford Smith Drive.

Police say the man’s passenger, a 22-year-old pregnant woman from Charnwood, suffered serious injuries. The man was unharmed.

A 71-year-old male driver of the Ford Falcon received minor injuries from the collision.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are currently investigating the incident.
