SENATOR Seselja has announced some Commonwealth black spot road funding for Canberra.
It’s a worthy enough list.
And it comes with some worthy words:
The Australian Government is delivering on its plan to build safer roads and a stronger economy through the national Black Spot Programme.
Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Jamie Briggs and Senator for the Australian Capital Territory and Chair of the ACT Black Spot Consultative Panel Zed Seselja today announced $672,500 in funding for 4 Black Spot projects across the Australian Capital Territory.
This announcement, combined with the extra $452,000 agreed to in March 2014 for an existing project brings the total current commitment on projects to $1,124,500.
Our eye was, however caught by the amount to upgrade the give way signs to stop signs on the corner of Coulter Drive and John Cleland Crescent in Florey.
Half a year’s wage seems like rather a lot.
