SHANE Rattenbury has joined the Canberra Raiders in an attempt on the Guinness World Record 3-Legged Race at Northbourne Oval, as part of the National Rugby League’s Close the Gap Round.
The event was open to the public as part of a day of celebrations that featuring Indigenous comedian Kevin Kropinyeri and guest appearances by Mario Fenech, Matt Cooper, Alan Tongue and Ken Nagas.
In the end they fell short of the record Over with 594 pairs of racers falling short of the 649 pairs required to break the official World Record.
They did, however, set new Australian and Southern Hemisphere records
