ABC digital radio off the air

FOR the few Canberrans relying on digital radios it will no doubt be distressing to hear the ABC has lost it’s broadcast due to a power outage at Telstra Tower.

“In the early hours of this morning, a power outage at Black Mountain Tower has affected Digital Radio services across Canberra,” a spokesperson said.

“As a result, all ABC Digital Radio services in Canberra are temporarily interrupted.

“The ABC is attending to the interruption and is doing everything possible to have it restored for Canberra listeners as soon as possible. The ABC will continue to keep listeners informed of any change.

“Analogue radio services have not been affected and can be accessed on-air, streaming online and using the ABC Radio App on mobile devices as usual.”

One Response to ABC digital radio off the air

I hope they fix it soon. Digital is the only way Radio National (and to a lesser extent 666) works in my house without noisy interference on am.
