ACT Health evacuates

ACT Fire & Rescue has evacuated approximately 200 workers from the ACT Health Building on Moore Street in the city investigating a smell of smoke.

No sign of fire.

A staged evacuation of the ground floor, level one and level two occured.

Firefighters have used thermal imaging and air monitoring equipment to attempt to locate the source of the smell.

Investigations are continuing and workers are expected to return to the building shortly.

Crews were alerted following an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call at 8.39am on level one of the six level building.
