Alleged Campbell rapist to face court

police

ACT Policing arrested a 19-year-old man yesterday (Tuesday, August 19) after he allegedly sexually assaulted two women in Campbell on two separate occasions.

Police will allege the man sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman in June last year after a night out in Civic.

The second incident is alleged to have occurred earlier this year, in February, at another 19-year-old woman’s residence.

The man was arrested by ACT Policing’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team yesterday. He was conveyed to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

He will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
