“CITYNEWS” reader Amanda has sent in a charming set of photos showing off Lake Burley Griffin in late Autumn with this note:
I’m taking you up on your invitation ‘to share something we see around Canberra’, so am emailing you these pics taken last week on my walk around our beautiful Lake Burley Griffin. Some interstate friends of mine, who think it funny to bash our National Capital, claim it’s nothing more than a lifeless, dreary, uninteresting public service country town. Well I beg to differ and after spending over twenty years here (my early days spent in the other states) I would call it anything but dull or lifeless. These pictures show some of what I see when I think of Canberra and when you live here you realise it’s anything but boring. Enjoy.
You too can send your photographs in to john@citynews.com.au
