The Arboretum gets a book

AVON from SparklingWeddings was at the Arboretum yesterday for the launch of a book about that beloved institution by the Chief Minister.

Produced by the Friends of the National Arboretum “The Arboretum Book – The Forests of the National Arboretum” presents the most up to date and accurate information about the Arboretum.

“The book provides detailed information about every forest planted in the Arboretum, including wonderful photographs and also chronicles the development of infrastructure and facilities, which will prove to be a valuable historical record,” Katy said.

“Proceeds from the sale of 5,000 of these books will raise money through the Friends to further develop the Arboretum. Book sales have the potential to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the Arboretum, and so the book will not only serve to enlighten, educate and entertain, but will also provide a solid financial return to the Arboretum.”

The book is available for $35 from www.arboretumcanberra.org.au
