THE Auditor-General has delivered a scathing report on Canberra Hospital’s Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit.
“The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit (the Unit) outpatient waiting list is not being managed effectively which is due to inadequate strategic management rather than a lack of resources. The Unit has the capacity to see more outpatients,” said Auditor-General Maxine Coopers.
Several actions are recommended to reduce the number of patients on the waiting list.
