The “Spirit of Patyegarang” projection was the first Indigenous contribution to the Destination NSW’s Vivid Light Walk in Sydney, and brings to life a story from Australia’s past. It has been brought to Canberra as a prelude to the tour here.

Originally projected onto the sandstone blocks of the Sydney Harbour Bridge southern pylon as part of Vivid Sydney, “The spirit of Patyegarang” features a 3-minute large-scale video commemorating one of the earliest collaborations between the original custodians of the land and the new settlers.

Bangarra Dance Theatre, “Patyegarang”, Canberra Theatre, July 17 to July 19, bookings to canberratheatrecentre.com.au or 6275 2700.
