Beekeeping courses, for your backyard

John Grubb (Beekeeper) 040

THE Canberra Environment Centre is running a course on backyard beekeeping on June 14.

“What a great way to spend a sunny Sunday with your family, extracting honey from beehives in your own backyard,” they enthuse.

“You could even use your beeswax to whip up a bunch of homemade candles for the Christmas hampers. Those bees have thought of everything.”

The course runs from 10am to 1pm at the Centre on the Corner of Lawson Crescent and Lennox Crossing.

It will cost $20 per person and spaces are limited to book early to sustainability@ecoaction.com.au.
