Belinda Nunn named Mother of the Year

ISABELLA Plains’ Belinda Nunn has been named the Barnardos ACT Mother Of The Year 2014.

Katy Gallagher has presented the 37 year old mother of three with the award at the National Library.

On top of her own three children Belinda has raised one niece from infancy and been heavily involved in raising another three children after her twin sister died.

Belinda’s daughter Monique who recently turned 18 is the first person in the family of Aboriginal descent to have been offered a place at university.

She is now in the running to be the national Mother of the Year which will be announced on 9 May in Sydney.
