Bona signs off for national gig in Sydney

LUKE Bona, the 2CC drive presenter, is leaving the station to present the overnight program on 2UE and breakfast newsreader Marcus Paul will take over the drive spot from April 14.

He made the announcement to listeners this afternoon on his popular show.

Luke is leaving the Canberra station at the end of the current rating period and after only six months to return to Sydney and 2UE to present the nationally broadcast midnight-to-dawn program. Mr Bona  was recruited from 2UE in November.

However, Mr Bona will still be heard on 2CC because the station takes the 2UE overnight program.

Mr Bona’s departure follows that of drive show producer Sarah Bannerman, who is leaving for 2GB.
