Butcher burgled in Griffith

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a burglary last night at a Griffith butcher.

Offenders are believed to have broken into Lachlan Valley Meats, on Canberra Avenue, at about 8.30pm, breaking into the business and stealing a safe.

Police say due to the size and weight of the safe, more than one person is believed to be involved and a vehicle would have been used.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
