Canberra Comedy Festival, take 3!

IN a town that seems to have more than its fair share of festivals, one of the more interesting has just announced that it will be back for a third time.

The Canberra Comedy Festival will run from March 17-21 next year and the enthusiastic organisers are already promoting the Opening Night Gala, to be held on of March 17 at the Canberra Theatre.

With over 50 shows from international and Australian comedy identities it will also feature Canberra favourites and rising talents.

The first Canberra Comedy Festival took place last year during the Centenary of Canberra’s year with a celebratory/commemorative pink t-shirt minted for the occasion.

In March 2014, the Comedy Festival was back in March with a line-up that included the Doug Anthony All Stars, Jimeoin, Charlie Pickering, Hannah Gadsby, Tom Gleeson, Peter Berner and Rod Quantock. That time round a more subdued blue t-shirt was deemed suitable.
