Canberrans joining the search for MH370

MH370

WHILE many Canberrans have been involved in the search for the missing Malaysian 777 Simon Corbell has announced a team of volunteers are off to join the search over the water.

“The four ACTSES volunteers will play a major role in supporting the AMSA as air search observers off Western Australia,” Mr Corbell said.

“They will join other emergency service personnel in a collaborative effort to try and locate the missing aircraft in the Indian Ocean off Western Australia.

“Our thoughts are with the families who are suffering from this tragedy.

“Having previously participated as air search observers across parts of Australia, from Queensland to Tasmania, this will be the furthest ACTSES volunteers have been deployed to in assisting search and rescue authorities. It demonstrates how valuable ACTSES volunteers are to the community.
