Canberra’s Ben Rake off to the Canoe Marathon World Championships

CANBERRA teen Ben Rake is off to represent Australia as an under 18 in the Canoe Marathon World Championships in Oklahoma later this month.

Ben has been paddling for approximately 3 years and is trained by Olympic medalist Clint Robinson. He has also represented NSW the last two years at a national level.

While marathon kayaking is a fringe sport in the ACT it is popular in other states.
