Car crashes through shop

A CAR crashed through the window of a Vietnamese restaurant on Lachlan Street in Macquarie just before midday today.

A crew from ACT Fire and Rescue that responded to the accident arrived to find the woman who was driving had gotten out of the car.

She was assessed by intensive care paramedics and did not require hospitalisation.

The restaurant was closed at the time, with nobody working inside.

The shop has suffered no structural damage and ACT Fire & Rescue will now work to make the area safe.
