Christine Faulks makes her way to the board of the NCA

CHRISTINE Faulks has today been appointed as a part time non-executive member of the Board of the National Capital Authority (NCA).

Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Jamie Briggs said Ms Faulks will bring a wealth of leadership experience to her new position and is well qualified to represent the interests of the Canberra community.

“The NCA Board plays a key role in developing and maintaining the special character of Canberra in line with the National Capital Plan and I look forward to Ms Faulks’ contribution to the ongoing development of Canberra as a place of national significance.”

Since 2007 Ms Faulks has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Canberra Business Council, an organisation that forms strategic alliances with industry and government to support Canberra’s economic development.

“Ms Faulks also holds a number of other Board positions, including with Obesity Australia, where she is Director, and with the University of Canberra Council,” ACT Chief Minister Katy Gallagher said.

“I look forward to working with Ms Faulks and the rest of the National Capital Authority in the future.”
