Civic’s secret garden

CIVIC in winter can be a touch bleak.

Before the plane trees unfurl their leaves the concrete jungle on a cloudy day leaves a bit to be desired.

But there’s a bit of a surprise if you go looking for it.

Nipping down Riverside Lane in a car park bounded by City Walk, Petrie Plaza, London Circuit, and Ainslie Avenue, a series of wonderful murals transport the viewer to a green and fantastic land.

Sure it’s still a car park with an unusually high number of diplomatically plated cars, but there is a touch of magic to it as well.
