A community sleepout for the rest of us

FOR those who don’t make the cut for an invite to Vinnies CEO Sleepout there’s now a chance to show you care.

Vinnies and Communities@Work are joining forces to run the Community Sleepout in the relatively balmier conditions of November.

“This partnership between Communities@Work and St Vincent De Paul Canberra/ Goulburn is a great example of a strengths based collaboration that has a defined purpose of achieving greater awareness and better outcomes for the most vulnerable in our community,” says Communities@Work CEO Lynne Harwood.

“We are working together to reduce homelessness in our community by raising awareness and the much needed funds required to provide practical assistance to those who are struggling to meet their basic needs.” says Paul Trezise CEO St Vincent de Paul Canberra/Goulburn,

“The Community Sleepout is a great opportunity for our supporters to come together and grew from feedback we received at the CEO Sleepout – that staff, friends and family also wanted to sleep out to make a difference”

The Canberra Community Sleepout will be held on Friday 14 November at the AIS. Canberrans can register online as a team, family or individual at sleepout.org.au and support the Canberra Community Sleepout.
