JOY Burch has bestowed the 2014 School Sport ACT Excellence in Sport Awards at a ceremony in the Legislative Assembly this morning.
“I congratulate them all on their achievements and wish them well in the future,” Joy said.
“The students are nominated by principals, sports coordinators, School Sport ACT members or team officials, and the nominations are judged by a panel of representatives appointed by School Sport ACT.
“I would like to thank the teachers who give up their time to manage and coach teams and attend planning meetings for School Sport ACT, and the parents and community volunteers who give their time and expertise to create sporting opportunities for our students.”
