ACT Parks and Conservation Service wishes to advise the public that, weather permitting, a controlled burn will be conducted tomorrow, Tuesday 11 November 2014.
The controlled burn will be undertaken on Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve to remove vegetation debris and reduce fire hazard behind homes in Chapman. Public access to walking trails will not be closed however visiting the reserve is not recommended.
UPDATE: Parks and Recreation have now changed their minds:
The controlled burn on Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve has been postponed due to a change in predicted weather conditions.
