Corbell takes up cudgels for Capital Metro

Light Rail

SIMON Corbell has responded to yesterday’s calls by Jeremy Hanson for light rail funding to be diverted to patch up the health system.

“Jeremy Hanson shows a lack of vision and direction with his attack on light rail,” Simon said.

“Instead of trying to derail a project that will help grow the ACT economy the opposition leader should join with his state and territory Liberal Party colleagues in taking up the fight to the federal Coalition government that is imposing unprecedented cuts to state and territory health and education funding.”

The Capital Metro light rail project between the City and Gungahlin will create jobs, increase the value of land and stimulate economic activity.”
