Crowds flock to Royal Canberra Show

THIS weekend’s near-perfect weather saw an increase in crowds for the Royal Canberra Show, say organisers.

Attendance for the Canberra show was up about 5 per cent this year, with new entertainment acts Monster Truck Spectacular; Trackskill Holden vs Ford utes proving popular.

“Although we didn’t reach the 100,000 mark this year our numbers are predicted to be in the mid 90,000s,” Royal National Capital Agricultural Society Chief Executive Officer Garry Ashby said.

“The 5 per cent growth in numbers is a fitting reward for the Society’s volunteers who worked extremely hard to present a wonderful show.”
