Disqualified spitter on Isabella Drive

police

A 21-year-old man from NSW will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 18 December) charged with common assault and driving whilst disqualified after an incident in Tuggeranong on Monday (December 15).

Police will allege that the victim had been driving his car on Isabella Drive on Monday evening around 8.30pm when a vehicle in front of him, a blue Proton, slammed on its brakes suddenly, causing his Mercedes to run into the back of the Proton.

Both cars sustained damage. The 42-year-old victim told police the driver of the Proton then approached him and began to verbally abuse him, and spat on him.

Police attended the location and subsequent investigations led to the alleged offender’s required attendance at Tuggeranong Police Station on Wednesday evening where he was interviewed and arrested for the above matters.

Police will be opposing bail.
