Explosive device found in southside school

POLICE have seized an Improvised Explosive Device found on the grounds of Caroline Chisholm High School this morning. police

About 10am, Tuggeranong Patrol members were led to the device by an employee of the school, located under a tree near the school’s car park.

The Specialist Response Group Bomb Response Team was requested to attend, and render the device safe. Due to school holidays, no children were present at the school.

ACT Policing advises anyone who locates an IED not to touch it, and call police immediately on 131 444.
