Between 1.30 and 2am on Friday December 21, the victim was in the City interchange waiting for a taxi when she was approached and propositioned by the alleged offender.

The victim refused, and entered a yellow ‘maxi-cab’ style taxi. The offender also entered the taxi. During the trip to the victim’s address in Bruce, the offender sexually assaulted the victim, which continued in the front yard of the victim’s address when the two got out of the taxi.

The matter was reported to police on 10 January 2014.

The offender is described as being of Caucasian descent, with a strong Irish accent. He is between 170-180cm (5’7”-5’11”) tall with a slim build. He has receding, very short, mousy-brown coloured hair. At the time of the incident he is believed to have been residing in Kaleen.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man pictured, or has information in relation to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously. Police are also hoping to speak to the taxi driver who conveyed the offender and victim to Bruce.
