Fire in Phillip

SEVERAL units in a three-storey complex have received smoke damage following a fire in a ground floor unit.

ACT Fire & Rescue were called to Tanks Street in Phillip this morning and extinguished the fire quickly on arrival. The fire did not spread into adjoining units.

No one was home at the time, and no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters are conducting ventilation operations and investigations in the cause of the fire will begin soon.

Three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a commander attended the incident.
