News is to hand that ‘Legs’ graduate, Fuchsia Bullot, who has been dancing professionally since she left the studio after Year 12, has just returned to Canberra from Paris, where she spent 9 months at the Moulin Rouge as a dancer.

Now, according to Michelle Heine, the director of Legs Dance in Sheppard St Hume, Bullot has been offered a contract at the revamped Lido show, to open in Paris on April 2.

Bullot will become one of the famous ‘Bluebell Girls’. Each dancer is selected on strict criteria, including dance technique, artistic qualities, personality and physical harmony. Bluebells must be taller than 1.75m for girls.

The Lido prides itself to attracting over 500,000 spectators a year, with 600 costumes, 60 artists on stage, 500 pairs of shoes, 150,000 pearls, 60,000 Swarovski crystals and 20 different sets.

The show’s producer is Franco Dragone, the former author/actor with Cirque du Soleil who went on to form Nouveau Cirque in France. He has produced shows such as “The house of the Dancing Water” in Macau and ‘A New Day’ for Celine Dion in La Vegas.
