Gun seized in Theodore

police

About 6.30am this morning (October 31), members of Tuggeranong Patrol executed a search warrant on a residence on Lawrence Wackett Crescent, Theodore, and seized an unregistered firearm.

South District Superintendent Justine Gough said the firearm seized was targeted because it was unregistered.

“While many firearm owners are responsible about the storage and licensing of all their weapons, this incident stands as a reminder to those owners to review their records and ensure they comply with licensing regulations,” Superintendent Justine Gough.

Police encourage anyone who may have information about unregistered or incorrectly stored firearms to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
