ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a grass fire burning at Murranji Street and Beetaloo Street, Hawker.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service has three units on scene, with a further five responding.

The fire is located near the Belconnen High School and tennis courts.

The fire is approximately 10 metres x 20 metres in size and is under control.

The fire has been extinguished and crews are conducting mopping up operations.
