ACTEWAGL has postponed planned electricity interruptions in parts of two suburbs today due to the extreme heat.
A spokesperson said electricity work in four suburbs was undertaken and completed by midday but the rest of the work would have postponed planned work which would have extended into the hottest part of the day, where temperatures are set to reach 38 degrees.
Any work that ActewAGL has postponed will be re-scheduled to a later date and customers will be notified.
ActewAGL does not release details to the media of streets and suburbs impacted by planned electricity maintenance.
Unplanned power outages can also occur during extreme weather events. These outages are posted on the website actewagl.com.au/outages and twitter feed twitter.com/ActewAGL
