CROWD-funded by eager fans through Pozible.com and recorded with Govinda Doyle, Julia Henning’s debut full-length album, ‘Fledgling’, is billed as “ a soul stirring tapestry of real life conflicts and emotions…featuring tender ballads and epic rock anthems.”
Henning will be at Smith’s Alternative tomorrow, Wednesday, and we’re told to watch out in particular for her single, “December”.
As well, they’re saying, “The album takes you on a journey with tracks illustrating raw heartbreak like ‘Cold Mourning’ to her battle cry title track, ‘Fledgling’.”
Back in 2012, Henning booked two nights at the Sydney Opera House, played to full houses, and turned it all into a live EP and soon-to-be-released doco.
“Fledgling’ at Smith’s Alternative, Alinga St, Civic, 8pm tomorrow, August 27, tickets at the door.
