The Hyperdome and Communities@Work teaming up for good causes with a little help

Hannah & Sophie Visser

HYPERDOME Shopping Centre has partnered with Communities@Work, a local philanthropic organisation that provides a broad suite of quality community programs to help people in need.

Communities@Work delivers services to more than 20,000 people through programs that aim to build a resilient and socially inclusive community that cares for the well-being of all.

Hyperdome Shopping Centre will work to increase local awareness and support for Communites@Work. Working with the group, they will seek to raise funds and donations for the organisation.

Care & Share provides food and essential services to individuals and families in Canberra who are experiencing hardship. Items wanted include tinned vegetables, fruit, meat, soup, breakfast cereals, crisp breads, tea and coffee, business or special occasion attire, clothing accessories, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and deodorant, baby formula, baby food, nappies, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products.

Eight local schools will also participate in this exciting program, competing to make it to the top three schools. The top three schools that donate the most will win $6,000 worth of IT products. These winning schools will be determined by the most points scored. Points are allocated based on the type of good donated, with highest points allocated to goods Communities@Work need most.
