Assembly ladies rally for #bringbackourgirls

mlas

THE saga of the stolen Nigerian schoolgirls has captured the imagination of much of the world.

UNICEF has been running a #bringbackourgirls campaign which may celebrities including Lena Dunham and Michelle Obama have leapt upon.

Today the women of the ACT Legislative Assembly have joined hands across the aisle for a bipartisan tweet.

While a Marine Expeditionary Brigade might be more immediately useful there are limits to what further help the ACT Legislative Assembly can render at this great distance from Nigeria.

Incidentally the group thought to be responsible for this atrocity, Boko Harum, has had considerable debate focussed on the meaning of its name, for those who are interested the Christian Science Monitor has a scholarly investigation of the subject.
