THE Environment Protection Authority has announced that for the first time since March Lake Tuggeranong is safe for recreational use.
“Lake Tuggeranong was closed as a precautionary measure on 20 March 2014 after high levels of blue-green algae were detected in multiple areas of the lake,” said the EPA’s Chris Collier.
“ACT Health confirmed that blue-green algae are now at levels that make the lake safe for unrestricted use.”
