LIBRARIES ACT are calling for book club members to come forward and be registered in the ACT.
They are aware of over 200 book clubs across Canberra. However, there may be many more that they have yet to discover and are keen to learn more about them.
“If you are a member of a book club, whether it is a face-to-face club, online club, parent-child club, or any other kind of book reading club, Libraries ACT wants to hear from you,” said Vanessa Little, Director, Libraries ACT.
“Tell us about your experiences of book clubs by completing a community survey. The survey only takes 5 minutes to complete and includes questions about what genre of books you read, how the books are selected and why you belong to a reading group.
“Your responses will help inform collection development and the future directions of our book club services.
“If you are not a member of a book club but would like to become one, there are two clubs held by Libraries ACT which you can attend. The Woden Reading Group meets at Woden Library on the second Thursday of the month and the Reading for Pleasure book discussion group meets at Erindale Library on the third Thursday of the month.
