M16 Artspace is farewelling its general manager Ren Pryor, who has resigned after nearly four years in the job to relocate to Sydney.
Since moving to Blaxland Crescent in Griffith in 2010 under the leadership of Joseph Falsone, M16 has built on the vision of its predecessors in Leichhardt Street Kingston and later 16 Mildura St Fyshwick (from which it takes its name) to become an impressive exhibiting space and a space for practising artists.
With development opportunities for artists, arts organisations and the wider community, it has spearheaded new initiatives, residencies, and an exciting program of events.
M16 Artspace is now looking to fill its newly-created position of executive director responsible for managing there organisation’s facilities. M16 houses 27 studios, three galleries and five workshop spaces and is supported by the ACT Government.
This new position will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to shape a new entrepreneurial role from its inception.
Applications are due by Monday June 23 from people experienced in arts management who relish working in a dynamic arts environment. The role is 35 hours per week and will initially be offered as a 12-month contract, with the option to renew subject to performance.
